High flying, outlying and the meaning of success

On Febuary, 2nd I am on the way visiting a friend in Leeds, GB. Starting the trip we have great weather and an amazing view onto Berlin. Being high flying.

Years ago I was deeply impressed by Malcom Gladwell's book, Outliers. The Story of Success. The German title of the book is "Überflieger", which has a slightly different nuance in meaning than "Outliers", which translates to "Ausreißer (bei statistischer Betrachtung)".

Not diving any deeper into linguistic or philosophical thoughts I just like to share this one: The meaning of success is being in transition - I stay curious...

The power of play and pictures

On Saturday this vision board was leisurely and pleasurably created.
On Wednesday a whatsapp arrives offering the smoothie-maker.

Clear sky, rising high and opening horizons

My recent a-musing place for a business muse meeting was Berlin's television tower.

Booking a table in the TV-tower-restaurant and sitting for an hour while the viewing platform moves around 360°. A time to decompress, clearing the mind in clear sky and opening the horizon with overall sight at the highest overlooking site in town.

Definitely a special high-light: we happened to be there the hour before sunset.

Visiting Victoria in her Tiergarten

It took me 17 years to finally climb up the 285 steps of the circular stairs of the Berlin Siegessaeule from 1873. Yet since it has been restored and newly gold plated only 5 years ago, it was worthwhile waiting these 12+ years, as the pictures show.

On the most brillant, sun-shiny day of this winter, walking through Tiergarten was the best business meeting of this new year, including workout, great visual output and finishing with a lunch at Café Buchwald - best to go there on a work day, as it is packed on a Sunday.

All batteries reloaded for next battles or win-win-victorious collaboration.
